How to generate a high ROI Marketing Campaign

July 19th, 2010 // 8:09 am @ admin

Isn’t it about time you started to get more customers and stop waisting time and resources marketing to customers who are classed as low potential ie. those that do not buy your products or use your services?

Here are some tips to provide a high ROI to your marketing campaigns:

  • You need to create emphasis on adverts, media and products that give you long term high  potential value to your customer’s and start to create less emphasis on those marketing campaigns that don’t.
  • Start to evaluate some customer retention methods so that your website starts to generate more returning visitors, these visitors should be easier to market to as they already know your site and products/ services
  • E Mail marketing is a great way to sustain a high ROI and is really easy to set up these days and it’s really easy to employ metrics on this one too.
  • Social Media Yes, it’s the one that is most talked about at the moment. It’s all very well employing this method but here again you need to measure the results of any social media campaign.  Social media must support brand strategy as indeed should every internet marketing campaign. Employed in the right way Social Media will start to drive highly focused, relevant traffic and revenues for your brand and business needs.
  • Despite rising costs a properly managed PPC campaign can and will provide high ROI to your marketing efforts.
  • SEO of course is relatively low in cost yet produces the highest returns.
  • Collect as much data on your customers as possible, the more information you have on website visitors the more targeted you campaigns can be.
  • Re- assess you positioning statement in the market place and think of at least 5 more Unique selling points that you have
  • Do not ignore offers from third parties of lead generation
  • News letters are really easy to set up and have the potential to reach a large audience who are already interested in your products/ services
  • Press Release – These can be marketing dynamite if used WHEN YOU HAVE INTERESTING NEWS about products or services that you offer.
  • Make an online video that can promote your products/ services
  • Ebook – Create one and distribute it for free, it should contain informative information about your particular sector.

Google to Buy Twitter

April 3rd, 2009 // 7:03 am @ Dan Horton SEO

Its no wonder that the Micro blogging service of Twitter has caught the eye of Google. Such a successful service like Twitter  is unlikely to escape acquisition from the mighty G. I wonder what sort of price Google is willing to pay for Twitter though ?

Face book had already offered a large sum for Twitter but the offer was declined. I can easily see just how beneficial it would be for Google to buy twitter, purely because of the instantaneous feed that Twitter provides such data would add to the power of search, especially real time information.

SEO Essential for Marketing

February 23rd, 2009 // 8:57 am @ Dan Horton SEO

It’s no surprise just how high companies place SEO on the marketing agenda. More than 90% of online merchants use SEO as a technique to actively promte their business.  Just of 60% claim that SEO makes up at least half of their traffic to their websites.

The line between ethical seo and unethical still seems to be a thin one for many. White hat or black hat and indeed what exactly are each seems to be the question. To my mind the seo industry is still held back to an extent by so called “SEO Companies” offering number one rankings with dubious techniques – like keyword stuffing for example.

Bring on the white hat training forums. Implementing a good ethical SEO strategy will boost company sales.

10 SEO Recession Beaters

October 21st, 2008 // 7:34 am @ Dan Horton SEO

Recession/depression? Well either way many companies are upping their online marketing and advertising ammunition on the grounds they simply need to attract more customers to keep ahead in what is bound to be lean times.

Recession in my mind is cyclic and happens every 5-9 years with an end in sight within a twelve month period.
Here are my  10 SEO Recession beaters that you can use to counteract the recession and ride the inevitable storm:
1) Buy some “property”. Get yourself some good domain names preferably with page rank and maybe some back links too. Whatever the state of the economy having your own domain portfolio can be priceless.

2) Don’t let everyone else’s doom and gloom cloud your creative marketing ideas. Just because money maybe tight it need not limit your online creativity.

3) Metrics is key in hard times. You need to track like you have never tracked before. We aren’t talking obsessive stat watching here, but maybe some of those low traffic keywords you didn’t think would convert should be given a chance after all.

4) Put in the extra work. Those title tags and Meta descriptions you were going to sort the other day and left them. Well put in the work now. Make a promise to yourself to write at least one page of content per day on something that interests you.

5) Networking is key in lean times. Make an effort to hear the voices of the SEO industry. Don’t be afraid to make comments on the SEO blogs of the people you respect, you will find most are approachable and freely offer advice. Update those social networking profiles. Twitter and Facebook are your friends.

6) Diversification is key to success. Experimentation with different income streams never hurt anyone. If you have just one affiliate, why not try half a dozen?

7) Don’t be afraid to ask clients for more money to expand their marketing campaigns. Many are just waiting for you to act more and action often needs money. Just because an SEO budget was setup 10 months ago, perhaps it’s time for a review?

8.) Save. Are you really getting the best value for money from your outsourced suppliers?  Spending wisely in an economic recession is key.

9) Avoid wastage. Automate with SEO Software. (No not SEO report generation) Time spent looking up the IP address of a website or domain age, page rank and index information and DO-Follow blogs could well be saved by you using a simple Firefox plug-in.

10) A rather strange one. But take time out of SEO. Those topics that are discussed socially offline often become the online hits of tomorrow. Spending all of your time online will turn you into a marketing geek. Simple as.
